GIGANTOFONEN

The Giogantophone is a 14 meter long marimba-type instrument. On the top there is 250 tubular bells, strings and wood plates.

The Gigantophone was created by Johan E. Andersson and Nils Personne.

The Gigantophone was build at the Museum for musik and theatre 2012 and was later moved to the Picassogarden at the Museum of modern art in Stockholm.

5 composers wrote one peice each to the Gigantophone. These works premiered May 30 at the Museum for music and theatre and was also preformed at the Museum of modern art.

The Gigantophone was open to the public to play on.
